KARNATAKA MILK FEDERATION - THE `100 PER CENT HEALTH' PRODUCT
Article Abstract:
Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) plans to launch a new milk brand called Goodlife. Goodlife will be produced at KMF's new ultra high temperature treatment plant at Kolar. Under the ultra high temperature technology, the milk is heated at 137 degrees centigrade. The flash boiling processing sterilises the milk and it can be preserved for 45 days. Consumers need not boil the Goodlife milk. It is readily usable straight from the packet. KMF plans to launch Goodlife in phased manner. Initially it will be launched in Karnataka and in some parts of Andhra Pradesh. In the second phase, the product will be introduced in Goa, Chennai and Pune. KMF claims that Goodlife is bacteria free and is a 100 percent health product. (gs)(vr)
